Senior Managers (Santa Clara, CA)

Responsibilities: Research technical accounting issues. Manage client accounts including billing, fee analysis, and new service development. Work with other managers to help ensure the proper deployment of the audit staff and assist with the career development of team members. Understand and utilize KPMG's Audit Methodology. Perform, supervise, and review audit procedures through application of U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, IFRS and PCAOB auditing standards. Interview client representatives and review, inspect, collect, and analyze data to evaluate and test the design of clients' existing control frameworks around business processes and technologies. Evaluate client companies' business processes and environments to identify the risk of accounting fraud and noncompliance with laws and regulations. Analyze company data to identify historical financial and operating trends, quality of earnings and working capital considerations, and potential liabilities and risks impacting valuation.

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00am - 5:00pm)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field plus seven years of experience in the offered position or a related occupation. Employer will accept a master's degree plus three years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree plus seven years of experience. Up to 50% travel required to various locations per business need. CPA required. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Three years of experience must include: Performing, supervising, and reviewing audit procedures through application of U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, IFRS and PCAOB auditing standards; Interviewing client representatives and reviewing, inspecting, collecting, and analyzing data to evaluate and test the design of clients' existing control frameworks around business processes and technologies; Planning, designing, and monitoring audits to ensure that required procedures are appropriately executed to address significant risks and accounts; Evaluating client companies' business processes and environments to identify the risk of accounting fraud and noncompliance with laws and regulations; and analyzing company data to identify historical financial and operating trends, quality of earnings and working capital considerations, and potential liabilities and risks impacting valuation.
