KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Cloud Monitoring to join our KPMG Technology Organization.


  • Perform daily tasks to support existing systems and fulfill ad-hoc requests for monitoring, reporting, projects, and emergency issues

  • Work closely with decision makers in other departments and business units to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support custom system and application monitoring opportunities that will pinpoint issues before they cause an outage or reduce downtime when failures occur

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of new hardware and software developments; evaluate alternative approaches and recommend new software or modifications to enhance operations and development activities

  • Consult with IT staff and clients to determine the impact of new or revised applications on existing software

  • Develop and maintain process and procedure documents

  • Take lead on the implementation of major efforts and projects, as well as highly visible issues


  • Three years of experience working with Windows Server administration and supporting an enterprise class monitoring solution for production environments

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience

  • Strong technical skills in Windows server operating systems (2003 to current versions), as well as other related disciplines such as Database (Oracle/MS SQL Server 2000 to current version)

  • Knowledge and experience in administration and server technology, for Windows, VMWare, and Solaris and also with the deploying and administration of the MS System Center product, with concentrations in OM, Orchestrator, and APM and experience in monitoring and alerting critical business applications, encompassing APM, infrastructure, network, and hardware

  • Scripting skills in Perl, Powershell, and UNIX with the bility to develop SQL queries and procedures

  • Experience with APM tools like App Dynamics, Solarwinds APM(SAM), log monitoring tools like Splunk or KIWI Syslogger, URL monitoring, synthetic transactions and emulating the customer experience
