KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Cloud Security Monitoring and Response to join our KPMG Technology Organization.


  • Lead the direction of information security monitoring and response functions through the development of a cloud-based security strategy that addresses threats to the environment and data by providing maximum visibility and capabilities

  • Collaborate with technology architecture, engineering, and other internal teams in defining security requirements, roadmaps, and identifying appropriate monitoring and response solutions

  • Engage and provide directions to MSSPs and other third parties, ensure that all deployed 3rd party solutions are optimized to fully leverage all available controls and features

  • Provide security monitoring and response guidance internally to the organization; act as a cloud monitoring tech lead and provide technical security expertise to KPMG teams deploying cloud-based solutions

  • Serve as the cloud security monitoring lead in the design, implementation and integration phases of cloud-based solutions to meet client and firm security requirements, address enterprise risks and exposures in cloud-based solutions


  • Minimum eight years of experience leading IT security monitoring and response efforts and delivery of cloud-based monitoring and response solutions

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university; Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred; Certifications requirements: CISSP and either CCSP or CCSK. Other certifications of importance: MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, AWS Certified Solutions Architect

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing architecture, technical design and implementations, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as Service (SaaS) delivery models across multiple different cloud vendors; strong knowledge of secure development and general software development methodologies and practices

  • Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and team work; ability to facilitate communications to business stakeholders and interact with all levels of management; ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and comfortable with ambiguity
