KPMG is currently seeking an Associate/Senior Associate in Financial Risk Management - Regulatory Risk for our KPMG Risk Consulting practice.


  • Provide regulatory compliance advisory services to capital markets institutions

  • Design and develop a first line of defense electronic trading operational risk framework and architecture focused on analytics and performance metrics

  • Trace through order flows and the underlying trading architecture to identify potential risk exposures, assess the integrity of underlying controls

  • Identify opportunities to mitigate specific control weaknesses

  • Develop summary risk reporting and analysis to be used by sales and trading supervisors to effectively manage risk in their business

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Associate:

  • Supervise and mentor associates, new hires, and interns on engagements

  • Serve as a liaison between clients and upper management

  • Identify and communicate technical matters to both clients and upper management

  • Assist with project planning, development of deliverables, and other technical writing exercises


  • A minimum of one year of experience as a risk consultant with a deep understanding of electronic trading platforms

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

  • Experience in a front office trading environment

  • Programming experience in C++, Java, Python or similar languages required

  • Understanding of all stages of the order lifecycle and corresponding flows through the trading architecture

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Travel may be up to 80-100%

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Additional Qualifications for Senior Associate:

  • A minimum of three years of related work and project management experience

  • Well-established understanding of business dynamics and regulations
