KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Data and Analytics Linux Support, to join our Data and Analytics Organization.
Production and development Linux environment setup, configuration and management
Work within the full systems lifecycle, including tasks which go beyond basic setup, including tuning, performance optimization, and advanced troubleshooting of system health issues
Design and implement version control system
Install, configure and manage Hadoop cluster, relational databases and non relational databases
Research and experiment with Linux based open source solutions and architectures
Work closely with software engineers, data scientist and domain consultants to understand client needs and expectations, then engineer and implement them
Five years of Linux systems administration experience in scalable applications platforms
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields from an accredited college/university
Strong knowledge of Linux, OS level file system and network troubleshooting in an enterprise environment
Experience installing, configuring, monitoring, and administering large Hadoop clusters, RHEL platforms and PostgreSQL/MongoDB/HBase servers, and prior experience of setting up web server with Nginx or Apache, and familiar with version control system (GIT preferred)
Strong disaster recovery techniques including replication and backup
A passion for learning new technologies and concepts
