KPMG is currently seeking an IT Security Monitoring and Response Analyst, to join our KPMG Technology Organization.
Perform some or all phases of incident response life cycle: analysis, containment, eradication, remediation, recovery
Monitor for external threats, assessing risk to the KPMG environment and support risk mitigation and response activities
Conduct forensics (e.g. host based disk and memory, as well as network) and analysis
Stay abreast of the latest information security controls, practices, techniques and capabilities in the marketplace
Participate in internal skills development activities for information security personnel on the topic of security monitoring and incident response; providing mentoring to junior team members
Minimum of three years of security monitoring experience, security operations, and incident response activities in an enterprise environment
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Strong verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at different levels of responsibility and authority; strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple activities simultaneously
Understanding of network and system intrusion and detection methods
Experience with technologies such as Splunk, Next Generation Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP), Security information and event management (SIEM), hacking tools techniques and procedures
Experience with malware analysis or endpoint lateral movement detection methodologies or host forensic tools; Scripting skills (Python, Shell/BASH) and use of open source Linux security tools; US citizenship required
