KPMG is currently seeking a Director Engineering, Cloud Services to join our KPMG Technology Organization.
Manage teams of architects and engineers who provide technical design and architectural leadership to multiple teams, and projects to help ensure applications are integrated and adhere to stated architectural and design principles and standards
Partner and collaborate with other technology groups, acting as a thought leader and strategist for new technology, technology roadmaps, and next generation technology direction
Drive the selection of services, technologies, development of standards, and reference architectures; focus on solutions that reduce costs, increase efficiencies, provide more value and capabilities, reduce risks, and increase security
Demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad firm objectives by integrating and developing processes that meet business needs across the entire firm
Lead architectural review forums and governance initiatives; facilitate organizational change by defining strategies for the Firm with respect to technology standards and design goals
Implement approved engineering budgets and monitor actual expenses to ensure they fall within budgets, analyzing out-of-budget expenses and ensuring they are offset in other areas of the project, unless fully justified; and communicate best practices by giving presentations, working with project teams, and authoring content aimed at educating others about standards, strategies, and otherwise defined best practices
Ten years of progressive technology experience Technology experience which include managing and supporting projects
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Master's degree from an accredited college/university preferred
Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations
Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements and ability to estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives
Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies; ability to develop strategic organization and resource plans, defining next generation business and leadership needs
Outstanding verbal/written communication, collaboration, presentation and negotiation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and team work; ability to foster the development of high performance team; capable of building strong professional relationships with ability to influence all levels across the organization; must be able to set and execute strategic initiatives for team; creative thinker with ability to identify innovative business solutions
