KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Client Systems Development to join our KPMG Technology Organization.
Provide strategic and proactive direction to ensure long term technology delivery of business objectives aligned with the KPMG technology strategy; Understand the business strategy, processes and decision makers, and foster participation in solution fiscal planning, scope, prioritization, delivery, and enhancement of solutions
Steer overall business expectations, perceptions and support ongoing two way communication of technology strategies, priorities and governance; Partner closely with business stakeholders to outline technology fiscal planning and be accountable for overall technology spend
Establish product roadmaps in alignment with IT technology initiatives
Effectively communicate relevant issues to senior management, operate as the escalation point, and suggest and evaluate alternative implementations as needed
Execute and deliver the portfolio of commercial off the shelf and custom developed software solutions; Manage, plan, and administer all phases of the software development lifecycle for Agile and Waterfall projects
Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas; continuously assess productivity and operational excellence
Minimum ten years of relevant business experience in technology software development, operations, and business processes
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Master's Degree from an accredited college/university preferred
In-depth knowledge of the application development life cycle with ability to identify innovative application development alternatives; Possess expert level knowledge in project management and the establishment of standards related to the application development life cycle and Agile application development
Must have strong leadership qualities with proven ability to lead and motivate geographically-dispersed technical teams with the ability to work effectively with clients, senior management, and other team members
Strong negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills, with ability to build strong relationships
Understand IT infrastructure, security, networking; leverages critical thinking in the management of technical issue escalations; Understands code management, branching and labeling strategies, continuous integration, testing automation, and automated deployment
