KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Business Technology Resiliency to join our KPMG Technology Organization.


  • Provide strategic and proactive delivery of the plans and actions that will ensure the security and integrity of data, databases and technology and minimization of business disruption risks

  • Identify potential business interruptions, develop safeguards against them, and implement recovery procedures; ensure the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) plans are monitored and routinely tested, providing rapid response and recovery to business events

  • Partner with senior leaders to ensure alignment, adoption, support of BCP/High Availability/Disaster Recovery initiatives and to coordinate technical plans and actions with the reciprocal business DR functions

  • Organize, direct and guide the teams with the goals of continual analysis of essential business functions to identify acceptable recovery time periods, data loss potential and overall enterprise potential risk issues

  • Work as a member of the Technology Operations Leadership Team to effectively and efficiently coordinate the planning, response and recovery for all phases of Business Technology Resiliency program management; coordinate DR communications on behalf of the Information Technology Department

  • Establish service level recovery standards and agreements internally and with vendors, becoming a trusted advisor with key leaders and stakeholders to pro-actively support business objectives


  • Minimum ten years of progressive experience in a large IT organization

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Master's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; ITIL, CBCI, CBCP, EDRP Certification or comparable operations delivery experience required

  • Experience leading, identifying and addressing BCP/DR domain, Server, Storage, and Data Center operations; leadership abilities with a business process and change management mindset combined with technical aptitude

  • Experience in service delivery on a 24x7x52 basis to a regulated customer base

  • Demonstrated outstanding verbal/written communication, collaboration, presentation and negotiation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and team work; ability to foster the development of high performance teams; capable of building strong professional relationships with ability to influence all levels across the organization; must be able to set and execute strategic initiatives for team

  • Creative thinker with ability to identify innovative business solutions; ability to develop strategic organization and resource plans, defining next generation business and leadership needs
