KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Analyst in Financial Management for our Management Consulting with a focus on state and local government practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide state and local government clients with a variety of services to solve complex, business problems and support operational transformation

  • Perform project-oriented work on key client engagements

  • Review and evaluate government financial processes

  • Assist with the creation of proposals and other business development activities

  • Perform analysis of financial and other data

  • Contribute to design, preparation, and analysis of reports in a clear, logical, and concise manner

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, political science, or economics preferred

  • Internship or work experience, specifically focused on state and local government, preferred

  • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of team members and clients

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Travel may be up to 80-100%

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
